A Blast From The Past

I was going through some old links in my bookmarks file when I found the following comment I had left on someone else's blog. The blogger in question has unfortunately gone over the other side and thus has won himself a free Lubyanka lobotomy. At some point I would expect the blogger to eventually remove this comment from his blog. Thus I repost it here.

The ideology of Eugenics was in practical effect a rejection of the evolutionary process. (And as some may argue, a rejection of the actual will of God the Creator.)

Instead of allowing human life to develop over time in accordance to a natural process (of as some would argue, the way the Creator wanted it), the Eugenicists would instead assume the role of God in the process and personally direct the development of human life themselves. The Eugenicists would determine who may or may not procreate and pass on their genes to the next generation.

In practical effect the ideology of Eugenics reduced the legal and moral status of ordinary human beings to that of livestock. It was simply another pseudoscientific attempt to justify the recreation of a master-slave society, where in this case the Eugenicists would assume the role of ranchers who would breed human beings as if they were mere cattle.

The ideology of Eugenics was just another attempted excuse for the recreation of tyranny. But as they used to teach us at the Benning School for Boys, the maximum effective range of an excuse is zero.

What are your questions on this block of instruction?

And its been a while since I've posted something here.
